First Aid Training – Classroom & Blended Courses

Professional First Aid training that is engaging, compliant, and built around real workplace scenarios. Delivered through our ProTrainings Training Centre, meeting current UK Resuscitation Council guidelines and HSE requirements.

Classroom or Blended – You Choose

We understand that businesses need flexibility — both options result in a fully recognised qualification.

Most First Aid certificates are valid for 3 years. The HSE recommends that First Aiders complete an annual refresher course to keep their skills up to date.

This depends on the course, but typically a maximum of 12 learners per course. This ensures everyone gets proper practical time with the trainer.

Classroom training is completed face-to-face with the trainer. Blended learning is where the theory is completed online in your own time, then you attend a shorter classroom session for the practical assessment. Both options result in the same qualification. Blended learning is a popular option as it reduces time away from work.

Topics typically include CPR and AED use, recovery position, choking, bleeding and shock, burns and injuries, heart attacks and strokes, seizures and allergic reactions, and managing an incident.

This depends on your workplace and the level of risk. Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) is for low-risk workplaces such as offices, shops, and small businesses. First Aid at Work (FAW) is for higher-risk environments such as construction, warehouses, manufacturing, or larger staff numbers. Paediatric First Aid is for those working with children such as nurseries, schools, and childminders. If you are unsure, The BTR Hub can help you choose the correct course based on your risk assessment.
